Elias Lyon papers, <192-?>, 1979.

The collection includes two papers: one written by Lyon for the University of Minnesota "Gopher" in which he outlines his vision of development for the Medical School, including his goal to spread medical education beyond the traditional boundaries of the medical profession to the general population. The second paper is a biographical sketch of Lyon prepared by Maurice B. Visscher for Dr. Owen Wangensteen, in preparation for a proposed book on Lyon.
